I think the most important lesson is foster active fan communities. Without that, a fan's investment is just a metric on a playlist or watchtime. But if you foster their investment, they invest back in you with defence, passion, and reach.

We see this in a lot and a lot of gaming communities. Those that foster their communities have a far higher rate of long term success, while those that don't foster their community die early. They also tend to die after damage control.
