I really enjoyed this essay. The Overton Window is a great filter one can apply when considering their efforts.

For example, if my idea is radical for my manager, I bear more burden of persuasion to achieve my wants.

Interestingly, data that leads to a proposal of a radical/unthinkable idea is not digestible. While the idea is correct, it falls too far out of the Overton Window. This places far more burden on persuasion.

I wonder how much trouble will one get if they ask, “does this fall outside of your Overton Window?”
